Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer. The share of Brazilian coffee on the international market is one third of the world's total production. Arabica is mainly grown in the regions of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Bahia, Matas de Minas, Prana. An equatorial climate prevails in the north of the country, tropical in the central part, and temperate in the south. The main varieties of Arabica in Brazil are: bourbon, typica, mundo novo, catuay, maragojeep.
The Expocasser farmer Cooperative was founded in September 1993, thanks to the desire of the producers of the region to organize a common warehouse for storing coffee.
Today, Expocasser is the largest cooperative in the Cerrado Mineiro region and the second largest in the country. It belongs to the most modern coffee farms in Brazil. It consists of more than 500 farms, more than 4,500 producers who collect 5 million bags per year on an area of 200,000 hectares. Moreover, Expocasser is the world's first coffee cooperative with a certified origin (Designation of Origin (D.O.), which allows you to trace the entire history from the sprout to the cup.
Coffee from the Cerrado region is famous for its dense body and chocolate-caramel taste, with a characteristic floral aroma, notes of red wine and lemon peel in the aftertaste.
The presence of well-defined seasons - hot, humid summers and pleasant dry winters - is a striking characteristic of the region. Coffee plantations are grown at an altitude of 800 to 1300 meters above sea level, resulting in high-quality coffee with a unique personality.
About hacienda
Linda's interest in coffee arose after her marriage to a third-generation coffee producer, which inspired her to look at coffee in a different way. The Leader Fazenda is a personal project of Linda, which she developed on a relatively small plot of land of 10 hectares, designed exclusively for the production of high–quality branded coffee. She started working on the farm in 2011, and her dedication to perfecting her craft has already led to success in coffee competitions throughout the Cerrado. In 2018 and 2019, she took 2nd place overall at the coops quality competition, and in 2021 she took 1st and 7th places overall at the Cerrado Mineiro competition.
