An important addition to our collection is the Ombligon botanical variety.

Ombligon is a rare variety of Arabica that is grown only in the Huila region of Colombia.
Taste profile: very sweet syrupy coffee with notes of melon, Coca-Cola and a dried machine.
John Wilmer Cuellar is a fourth–generation coffee farmer. His father, Wilmer, managed to improve irrigation management over the years, and everything went well until destructive rust destroyed most of the crop. Then Wilmer decided to plant new varieties such as Castillio and Columbia, and over time the Cuellar family switched to growing specialty coffee, growing tabi, pacamara, geisha, papayo, tipica, cider, bourbon, pink bourbon and Sudan room. Seeing his father's tireless efforts, he decided to help him and learn about nutrition, yield ratio, roasting and capping at SENA School.
Today, John is the proud owner of the Las Brisas finca, following his father's love of work and coffee. They have improved the infrastructure to optimize coffee processing processes, including a laboratory with roasting equipment and a processing station. They take care of the environment and collaborate with other farms to increase coffee production, while gaining additional value.
Las Brisas farm adheres to traditional processing methods such as washed, semi-washed, honey and natural, always revealing the best qualities of each variety so that it is pleasant and clean for those who consume it.
Ombligon is a rare variety of Arabica that is grown only in the Huila region of Colombia. Ombligon became widely known quite recently — at the 2023 World Barista Championship, when Australian Jack Simpson took third place with this coffee.
It has similar characteristics to katurra: wide leaves, densely growing berries, vertical branches and high yields. Ombligon berries (from the Spanish ombligo — "navel") have a characteristic shape with a slight depression at the top.
Colombia is the world's third largest producer of coffee and the second largest producer of Arabica grown on the slopes of the Andes. Main regions: Armenia, Medellin, Tolima, Caldas, Kindia, Cauca, Popayan, Nariño, Huila, Antioquia. The climate in the lowland areas is humid tropical, in the mountains at an altitude of more than 1200 meters above sea level, the temperature during the day varies from 18 to 24 ° C. The rainy season lasts from April to July and from October to November. Soils are rich in minerals, volcanic.
Packing options: 250 grams, 1 kilogram and in drip bags. We can grind coffee for any brewing method, just check the Grind checkbox and select the grind size for your brewing method.
Store the coffee beans in a dry place without direct sunlight and grind immediately before cooking. It is best in our zip-fastener pack or in a jar with a vacuum function. Remember: oxygen is the main enemy of coffee, especially if it is ground in advance. If you are going away for a long time, coffee can be frozen once in the freezer.
