Organic coffee from a family farm with ancestral traditions.
We are looking for good organic coffee all over the world and we keep its philosophy all the way from the sprout to the cup: a certified farm with clean land and our certified production with a clean line.
Flavor profile: a dense cup with a bouquet of currants, black tea, dried dark berries and spices.
A family farm with ancestral traditions – Tunkimayu. For 69 years, the family has been engaged in the coffee business and 10 years ago, the most senior representative in the business, Mrs. Cynthia Kastenda Yapura, decided to focus the family's efforts on growing specialty coffee. The farm grows varieties of Geisha, Red Bourbon, and Pace. A lot of attention is paid to quality and processing, no wonder 50% of the harvest consistently goes to the Japanese market from year to year. The farm is equipped with equipment for processing: honey, natural, double anaerobic fermentation. Cynthia works on the plantations herself, along with her husband and children. She was sincerely delighted when we highly appreciated her samples, and, according to her, it is a great happiness for her to give happiness to people around the world through work through a cup of coffee.
The main regions of coffee production in Peru are Cajamarca, Junin, Puno, Cuzco, Pasco. The climatic conditions are quite varied. An arid climate prevails in the north-west of the country, equatorial in the east, temperate on the coast, cool in the mountains, and tropical in the forests. Coffee grows between 900 and 2050 meters above sea level. The main varieties of Arabica in Peru: bourbon, typica, katurra, pashe, catimor The harvesting season for washed coffee runs from April to September.
Packing options: 250 grams, 1 kilogram and in drip bags. We can grind coffee for any brewing method, just check the Grind checkbox and select the grind size for your brewing method.
Thanks to packing in a nitrogen environment, coffee retains its bouquet unchanged for up to 6 months in a closed pack. After opening, store the coffee beans in a dry place without direct sunlight and grind immediately before cooking. It is best in our zip-fastener pack or in a jar with a vacuum function. Remember: oxygen is the main enemy of coffee, especially if it is ground in advance. If you are going away for a long time, coffee can be frozen once in the freezer.
