Fazenda Da Lagoa is located in the northeastern part of the famous Sul de Minas region, in Minas Gerais, just a few hundred kilometers from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, at an altitude of about 1100 meters above sea level ... In 1764, these lands were allocated to Manoel Ferreira Carneiro by the government for the purpose of growing sugar cane and raising livestock; coffee trees were first planted there in 1860. In 2003, the 2,640 ha hacienda Da Lagoa was acquired by the Neumann Kaffee Gruppe. Fazenda is divided into separate plots, each with its own name, for example the 50 hectares of El Paraiso, 26 of which are planted with a single variety, the red akaia. Fazenda Da Lagoa specializes in the production of unique natural coffee and high quality semi-washed coffee. The farm grows a wide variety of coffee varieties: yellow bourbon, katuai, katukai, topazio, obata, ikatu and red mundo novo and akayu.
